The factory is located in North Italy, close to the beautiful Garda Lake. The founder, Ileana Pinelli started the company in 1982 and she is still running the factory together with her children, Alda and Luca. The factory's electricity consumption is measured carefully and most of it comes from its own solar panels, the remaining are purchased from other renewable sources.
Lemar, the knitting factory, and Barbara, the dying factory, are both family owned companies and they are located near Calze Ileana as well as partners from the start. Barbara who processes wet processes has a sophisticated water treatment plant with bio-bacteria that ensures water quality, they have also invested in a plant that supplies them with sustainable electricity.
