With throwbacks to the 70s like drop pockets and a contrasting white drawstring that encircles the waist, our Naima dress is as chill as the Coltrane tune we named it after. Made from a recycled cotton mix, it has a loose fit throughout, but darts at the breast to give shape to the bodice and a flattering keyhole down the back. Nursing access is hidden under our smart horizontal coverfold.
The overlap across the bust makes nursing easy, comfortable and discreet. It opens simply with one hand, leaving the other free to hold your baby.
Since 2008, we have increased the use of sustainable materials from 20% to 97% (measured by weight of our total production in 2017). We aim to make that figure 100%. The sustainable materials we use today are organic cotton, recycled cotton, lyocell and recycled polyester and polyamide. Read more about our sustainable materials here!
Certified organic cotton
Organic cotton cultivation is based on long-term and sustainable methods. The cotton is grown without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. Choosing organic cotton over traditionally grown cotton means making a choice that is better for cotton farmers as well as the environment.
Recycled cotton is made from cotton waste that is reprocessed into a high-quality yarn. The benefits of using a pre-existing fiber are that water, energy and chemical use are drastically reduced. In addition, no pesticides are required and no arable land is used.
Our production takes place in Portugal, Turkey, Italy and Greece. We place high demands on our suppliers when it comes to environmental and social responsibility and we only work with factories that respect our Code of Conduct. We don’t just hunt for the lowest price and the speediest delivery. We strive to build long-lasting relationships with producers that share our basic values about human rights and caring for the environment.
For us, it is important that our clothes are free from harmful chemicals. Therefore, we require that our suppliers comply with the EU chemicals regulation REACH. Our garments are also certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means that they are tested for harmful substances. We promise clothes you can safely wear next to your skin and baby.
