Who’s in your family?
David, 32 years old; Malaika, 7 years old; and Naemi, 7 months old.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and profession?
I was born in Kenya and raised in Germany. I discovered my passion for fashion early and started blogging right after my schooling. Since then I have run the blog, Looks like Berlin, where I present my looks. I also work as a stylist.

Where do you live?
I’ve been living in Berlin for 17 years.

What is the best advice or tip you have received as a pregnant or new mother?
My second pregnancy was very exhausting. The other moms I knew said, “You’ll forget all about it as soon as you hold your daughter in your arms.” And they were right! All problems are forgotten.

Did you have any cravings during pregnancy?
I wanted to eat waffles and ice cream - every day during my pregnancy. I would do almost anything to get to eat them. I often sent my boyfriend to Wonder Waffel or Kauf Dich Glücklich to buy some for me. That always made me super happy =)

What was your most essential garment during pregnancy?
Dresses. I always wear dresses. They are so easy to put on and I feel always dressed up.

What was the most obvious change in your life since you became pregnant or had children?
The biggest change has been the fact that it’s no longer just about me. Every decision I make has to include my children. I no longer have the freedom to do what I want.

What do you feel is the greatest challenge in being someone’s parent?
I think having children is the most exciting adventure we can experience. That’s why my biggest challenge is to find a good balance between work and being a mom. I love working, and sometimes I'm afraid I might miss something with my children.

What item is highest on your wish list right now?
Vacation. Since Nemi was born, we have not been away. Now it's time to travel a little.

What’s the most comical situation you have found yourself in as a pregnant or new mother?
I have become incredibly forgetful. I forget meetings, conversations, and I’m constantly forgetting my wallet and my keys.

What are your top 5 favorites from Boob’s spring/summer collection?

1. Tunic
Thanks to the nursing function, I can breastfeed discreetly and it’s not complicated. And at the same time I look stylish!

2. Long dress Wrap
Beautiful and comfortable dress for every day. Perfect to combine with sandals but also sneakers!

3. Once-On-Never-Off loose pants Leo
A casual pant that I wear even now after pregnancy. Absolutely brilliant!

4. Playsuit
With the playsuit you have a whole outfit in a single garment. You only need to think about matching shoes and jewelry! This makes life so much easier when you are pregnant.

5. Dress Simone
It’s spring and finally time to wear color and show a little leg. Above all, I like the dress's fit and I never say no to a nice pattern.

Who’s in your family?
My husband, our two sons (Gustav, 7 years, Friedrich, 4 years) and a baby is on the way.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and profession?
I am a fulltime Blogger, Hauptstadtmutti, and consultant.

Where do you live?
In Berlin, Germany.

What is the best advice or tip you have received as a pregnant or new mother?
Never listen to others, listen, what you feel. You are always right.

Do/did you have any cravings during pregnancy?
YES. Right now: Pineapples and melted cheese.

What was your most essential garment during pregnancy?
Dresses. I always wear dresses. They are so easy to put on and I feel always dressed up.

What was the most obvious change in your life since you became pregnant or had children?
The freedom of just leaving the house. It is quite hard to take. But also the overwhelming love of children to the parents. That is just incredibly crazy. And you just give it back. Not questioning anything.

What do you feel is the greatest challenge in being someone’s parent?
To stay calm even if the kids are going wild.

What item is highest on your wish list right now?
Not really an item. I just would like to have the time to go to the hair dresser.

What’s the most comical situation you have found yourself in as a pregnant or new mother?
Since I am pregnant I just fall asleep all the time, even in the tram.

What are your top 5 favorites from Boob’s spring/summer collection?

1. Once-on-never-off loose pants/Leo
Best pants for the pregnancy time and the time after the birth. Classy with loafers and sporty with sneakers.

2. Dress Simone
So comfy and perfekt for spring and summer.

3. Once-on-never-off ruched skirt
I totally like that skirt. You can tuck in the shirts or wear sweaters over it. With or without tights. Very comfortable.

4. Simone top with 3/4 sleeves
Blue and white striped is kind of a mommys uniform. You can actually wear it to everything and everytime. It always looks dressed.

5. Short sleeve top Simone
Striped shirts are always a good idea. I really like the color. Looks like spring.

Who’s in your family?
Simone 37 years old, Essie 3 years old in April and the little melon in my stomach, due in May

Can you tell us a bit about your background and profession?
My roots are in Småland – I grew up in the country. After several years of traveling and drifting around a bit after high school, I realized that media and journalism was my thing and I went to school to become a journalist. After I graduated, I worked at Radio Sweden and the Aftonbladet (evening newspaper) until I took the plunge and became self-employed. Nowadays, I blog and write for ELLE and I have other clients such as Aftonbladet, Radio Sweden and Sveriges Television (Swedish public television). I am also currently writing two books. My job is extremely varied and I love it. “New” technology also makes it possible for me to work from anywhere, which is ideal when one is married to an Italian.

Where do you live?
On the island of Kungsholmen in Stockholm. In the summer, you’ll find me at our summer house in Blekinge or in Italy.

What is the best advice or tip you have received as a pregnant or new mother?
To roll with things. All phases are temporary so one should not make too many changes at first. I think this can be reassuring to many parents that work themselves up unnecessarily about every little thing. It will eventually blow over, and change. Quite simply, take it easy. This approach is useful in most situations, at least in smaller crises.

Do/did you have any cravings during pregnancy?
I “unfortunately” did not have any cravings, which is a little boring, hehe. But I felt a greater need of carbohydrates like pasta and bread - my body told me that I needed them. And when I felt sick at the beginning of my second pregnancy it helped somewhat to eat clementines, so more than a few founds of citrus have gone into this stomach!

What was your most essential garment during pregnancy?
During my first pregnancy it was a pair of fancier and more fashionable sweatpants. I could even put on heels and wear them to a party or dinner. Just perfect. Now, the second time, I have to say it’s my pajamas - and a nursing bra. Even though I am not breastfeeding yet, a nursing bra is the most comfortable bra you can find.

What was the most obvious change in your life since you became pregnant or had children?
I think that I have become a much calmer person. Before Essie arrived, I had a huge FOMO (fear of missing out). I wanted to be everywhere, all the time, and do everything - go to every party, accept every challenge, work like mad, etc. Now I feel like I am more chill about most things. It’s incredibly nice because it was stressful to live as I did, even if it was an incredibly fun time in my life. Just being able to sit still and be completely relaxed about missing a party or something is so incredibly liberating.

What do you feel is the greatest challenge in being someone’s parent?
Not to correct the other parent. My husband and I equally share the financial and domestic responsibilities for our family. But just because we share those things does not mean that we think alike when it comes to every matter concerning Essie. To let my husband have a different opinion is one thing, but to stand by and hear him say one thing to Essie when I think another is really tough. Fortunately, we are in agreement on all of the issues that really matter. Regarding our relationship with Essie, I'm surprised at how much easier it is than I imagined. Most of it has come naturally but it’s hard not to fall into gender stereotypes and make comments like, “Oh how pretty you look.” Even if I am very aware, there will still be dolls, lots of pink, and dance lessons.

What item is highest on your wish list right now?
Since I am pregnant and already feeling heavy, I wish I had more energy and possibly some kind of device to make it easier to turn over in bed - what a thing that would be.

What’s the most comical situation you have found yourself in as a pregnant or new mother?
During my first pregnancy, I experienced one of those huge mood swings one night when my husband and I sat watching TV because we were jetlagged and could not sleep. We watched a comedy and I began laughing out loud at a scene, and then I couldn’t stop laughing. Out of nowhere I heard my husband ask if I was crying. What? I wasn’t, was I? Um, yes, I had suddenly begun bawling, without even noticing it myself. I cried for five minutes and then start laughing hysterically again. It was a very strange night.

What are your top 5 favorites from Boob’s spring/summer collection?

1. Dress Alicia
Just like the top, the ruffles make this simple and beautiful dress stand out and turn it into something special. I love the blue, mostly because it is a color that goes so nicely with other colors, especially black and white.

2. Long dress wrap
When I saw this dress, I pictured myself in the country, relaxed and playing in the shade with my children. I absolutely love long dresses, especially in the summer when they can flutter, lovely like that, around your legs. This is going to get a TON of use.

3. Tunic
I will probably use this tunic most as a dress, both with sun-kissed bare legs and into autumn with cable-knit tights underneath. What’s more, the pattern is perfect for hiding any baby-related smears and stains.

4. Top Simone with 3/4 sleeves
A blue and white-striped shirt is one of the most classic garments ever and a look that will never ever be off-trend or feel dated. The perfect choice for every wardrobe.

5. Top Alicia
All my choices are based mainly on whether or not they are the kind of clothes I will want to use even after childbirth and nursing. This is one way of thinking both sustainably and economically, I think. This top feels modern, trendy and easy at the same time. I love the ruffles, which create a beautiful silhouette.

Who’s in your family?
My husband Matthew and Augustine, 5 months.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and profession?
I graduated college planning on going to law school but it wasn’t until I was working full-time in a firm that I realized I had other passions that I wanted to pursue. At the same time I started M Loves M as a creative outlet, documenting my relationship with my then boyfriend/now husband Matthew. Got a job as a buyer and stylist for an online store and then went on to do marketing for a shoe brand.

Where do you live?
I live in a beach town in Los Angeles!

What is the best advice or tip you have received as a pregnant or new mother?
The best advice is not to take anyone’s advice! There’s so many people out there that will tell you what worked best for them, but the truth is, every baby (and situation!) is different. You have to trust yourself and do what you think is best for your family.

Did you have any cravings during pregnancy?
Chocolate chip cookies!! I could eat them morning, day and night!

What was your most essential garment during pregnancy?
A comfortable dress that would grow with my belly! Since I was pregnant during the summertime, I needed to be comfortable!

What was the most obvious change in your life since you became pregnant or had children?
The most obvious change has been that my time is no longer my own. I can’t just get up and go. I have to think about Augustine first.

What do you feel is the greatest challenge in being someone’s parent?
The pressure! There’s so much responsibility to raise this child in the best possible way so that they can learn, succeed and thrive.

What’s highest on your wish list right now?
A full night of sleep!!

What’s the most comical situation you have found yourself in as a pregnant or new mother?
Getting peed on, pooped on, and spit up on! Sometimes it all happens before noon!

What are your top 5 favorites picks from Boob’s spring/summer collection 2017?

1. Top peplum
It’s a classic style that can be worn again and again!

2. Wrap dress
Another classic and feminine style. I love how flattering it is!

3. Dress Simone
I love the bright and happy stripes!

4. Playsuit
A style that can be dressed up or down!

5. Dress Audrey cap sleeve
Love the simple yet easy silhouette!

Name: Åsa Norin

Who’s in your family?
My husband, Fredrik and son Otis, who’s almost 3 years old, and the baby in my belly that will be born in February.

Can you tell us a bit about your background and profession?
I love mid-century vintage, DJ for fun, and work as pattern designer at Boob.

Where do you live?
In an apartment in Stockholm.

What is the best advice or tip you have received as a pregnant or new mother?
Don’t make so many plans that you fill up all your time. Spend a day in bed with your baby and sleep! There is nothing better than to just relax and know that you do not have a lot of things you must do.

Do you have any cravings during pregnancy?
During my first pregnancy it was ketchup and mustard. I always stopped at the same kiosk on the way home from work and bought a hot dog with this combo on top. This time it's apple juice! Ice cold. I can drink limitless amounts… until I get heartburn.

What was your most essential garment during pregnancy?
A pencil skirt! It goes with everything, and sits nicely over a pregnant belly.

What was the most obvious change in your life since you became pregnant or had children?
Of course, time changes when you have children! You can accomplish so much when you don’t have children. But the greatest change is the love that I feel for, and get, from my son. It’s overwhelming, and makes me feel like the happiest person in the world.

What do you feel is the greatest challenge in being someone’s parent?
Getting together all of the practical things, like a little outing with the baby carriage, which looks like a moving van. Another challenge is to be a moderately relaxed parent, and not turn into a mother hen. Heh-heh.

What item is highest on your wish list right now?
I have a pile of books I want to read, and I long for the day when I can dig into them.

What’s the most comical situation you have found yourself in as a pregnant or new mother?
This thing called a breastfeeding brain really exists, and it really knocks out all of your senses! I remember during my first pregnancy with Otis how everyone always reacted so strangely to my responses during conversations and I could not always altogether grasp what we were talking about. It was very confusing. But now I find it entertaining to read e-mails and text messages from friends from that period. Thank you for putting up with me!

What are your top 5 favorites picks from Boob’s spring/summer collection 2017?

1. Dress Tilda
The ultimate summer dress; I plan to live in it. I love the pockets!

2. Simone sleeveless top
A stylish classic that goes with a skirt or jeans. A must-have.

3. Once-on-never-off skirt
So comfortable and stylish. It’s my “ace” in the closet now during pregnancy and it’s definitely going to be there afterwards too.

4. Fast Food singlet 2-in-1
The perfect tank with a built-in bra. It’s the best undergarment because it holds everything in place.

5. Playsuit
I’m looking forward to the summer and hanging out in the sandbox in this with a pair of sandals.
